NGA posts RFI for unpublished graphics maintenance
On December 1, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency posted a request for information for unpublished graphics maintenance. Responses are due no later than 12:00 pm CT on December 22.
The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s (NGA) Aeronautical Navigation Office has a worldwide requirement to provide time sensitive Safety of Navigation (SoN) Aeronautical information and data to support operational needs of the Department of Defense (DoD). A significant increase in the demand for complete worldwide Terminal Procedure coverage necessitates a need to transform the production of Terminal Procedures by providing a repository of Unpublished Graphics (UPG), and Terminal Instrument Procedures, which are not currently published in DoD Flight Information Publications (FLIP).
Aeronautical data published by NGA consists of hard and soft copy products, both of which are utilized for mission planning, aircraft navigation, and within flight management systems. Production of Aeronautical data is provided on a 28-day cycle (See Appendix E), as well as on an ad-hoc basis. It is NGA’s goal to maintain a complete worldwide Terminal repository of Instrument Approach Procedures (IAPs), Standard Instrument Departures Procedures (SIDs), and Standard Terminal Arrival Charts (STARs).
