NGA posts RFI for methane detection
On July 6, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) posted a request for information (RFI) for a methane detection API. Responses are due by 5:00 p.m. Eastern on July 13.
NGA is seeking information vendor capabilities related to global measurements of greenhouse gas emissions, specifically methane super-emitter events, regional analyses of methane emissions, and point-source methane emissions. The purpose of this RFI is to expand analyses of greenhouse gas emissions from a variety of sectors. Acquiring analysis-ready products from civil and commercial sources is crucial to this endeavor.
NGA has a need for the detection and quantification of greenhouse gas emissions from pointsources and facility-levels will provide strategic geopolitical data.
