NGA posts Foundational Engineering synopsis

On August 24, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency posted a synopsis of its Foundational Engineering Services solicitation (Solicitation Number: HM047618R0090).

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) seeks to solicit and award a Firm Fixed Price Level of Effort Term and Award Fee, Single Award contract that provides Foundational Engineering Services.  The total anticipated period of performance is five-years (Base Year plus 4 Option Years). This procurement will be a 100% Small Business Set Aside. The applicable NAICS Code is 541512, and the size standard is $27.5M.

This notice is not a request for quotations or solicitation of Offerors. NGA intends to release a draft solicitation and its accompanying attachments in order to provide industry with an advance version and to obtain meaningful feedback from interested parties. The draft Request for Proposal and attachments will be posted on the IC Acquisition Research Center (ARC) unclassified website, https://acq.westfields.net.

Requirement: Foundational Systems Engineering activities include: Configuration Management, Enterprise and Program-level Scheduling and Effectivity Management; Governance and Engineering Reviews; Standards Compliance, Definitions, Development and Management to include the Technical Reference Architecture; Enterprise Risk Management; and Systems Engineering Processes and Tools.

Contractor personnel performing classified work on the NGA Foundation Engineering contract are required to have active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearances for access to NGA facilities, when performing duties within classified environments, and for access to classified NGA computer systems. Contractors are subject to a Counterintelligence Polygraph.
