NGA posts automated mapping RFI
On November 21, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) posted a request for information for automated mapping. Responses are due by 12:00 p.m. Central on January 6.
NGA, in support of the Source Directorate Production Division is seeking information on acquiring an automated service for producing maps/charts that meet product specifications and/or custom mapping and charting products. These products should meet NGAs requirements for safety, usability, readability and accessibility. These maps/charts shall be produced from a variety of data sources.
The purposes of this Request for Information (RFI) are to identify vendors capable of satisfying NGA’s requirements and assess potential solutions to this automated mapping capability.
NGA has a mission-critical need for a flexible capability that can create multi-scaled standard map products with the ability to transition and be flexible to include other data sources. The automated map output will have to meet today’s standards and evolve into utilizing future data sources and schemas.
Review the NGA automated mapping RFI.
