NGA announces funding opportunity for GEOINT analysis research
On March 16, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency issued a broad agency announcement (HM0210-15-BAA-0002) for research related to GEOINT analysis.
The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) intends to award multiple Firm-Fixed Price contracts under Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) HM0210-15-BAA-0002 pertaining to GEOINT Analysis. NGA welcomes all innovative ideas for path-breaking analytical research that may advance NGA’s GEOINT mission. All awards will be based on merit competition.
NGA’s goal is to make awards under three research topic areas. This is a Research effort and Concept Exploration or Capability Demonstration will be considered. The NAICS codes for this procurement includes 541712, Research and Development in the physical, Engineering and Life Sciences, but other NAICS codes may apply as well. The period of performance will not exceed period of 180 days with no option periods.
NGA encourages small businesses and universities to propose under this BAA. NGA also strongly encourages and accepts proposals from collaborations of entities (industry and industry, industry and university, university and university, etc.) because research in multidisciplinary Topic Areas may require forming teams with strengths in multiple science and engineering fields.
The GEOINT Analysis BAA solicits ideas in three Topic Areas: Topic Area 1 Emerging Problems, Topic Area 2 Trend Analysis, and Topic 3 Crisis Monitoring.
