NextGen secures SeaPort NxG prime position

On August 26, NextGen Federal Systems announced its award of a prime contract under the SeaPort Next Generation (SeaPort NxG) program. This contract enhances NextGen’s ability to assist the U.S. Navy in strengthening national defense and mission readiness.

SeaPort NxG is the Navy’s premier electronic procurement platform, streamlining the acquisition of engineering, technical, and programmatic services. As a prime contractor, NextGen will compete for task orders that provide critical capabilities to the Navy, ensuring efficient and effective operations.

Awarded by the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Dahlgren Division, the contract extends through January 2029 and covers 23 functional areas across two broad categories: engineering and program management services. SeaPort NxG supports various Navy commands, including Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR), Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC), Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP), the Office of Naval Research (ONR), Military Sealift Command (MSC), and the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC).

“We are honored to contribute to the SeaPort NxG program and look forward to advancing the Navy’s mission. This milestone reflects our team’s record of delivering value to our federal Government clients, and our readiness to support the evolving needs of the U.S. Navy,” said JP Lapps, NextGen senior vice president.
