National Cybersecurity Center joins USSPACECOM AEE

USSPACECOM welcomed the National Cybersecurity Center (NCC) to its Academic Engagement Enterprise (AEE), the NCC announced May 15. The goal of the AEE is to foster relationships and collaboration between cutting edge institutions, space advocates, and USSPACECOM. The NCC is now reflected as a member of USSPACECOM.

“This collaboration will focus academic engagement efforts in shaping the future workforce, supporting professional military education, increasing applied research and innovation in the space domain, and creating strategic cyber-for-space dialogue supporting national security and defense,” said Harry Raduege, Lt. Gen USAF (Ret.) president and CEO of the National Cybersecurity Center.

Initial priorities for the AEE will be to build out a network of universities, enhancing Space Command’s ability to conduct operations at the intersection of space and cybersecurity.

“U.S. Space Command enthusiastically welcomes the National Cybersecurity Center (NCC) as a member of our AEE.  We recognize the incredible collaborative and mutually beneficial partnership opportunities the NCC presents to our command and workforce.  We appreciate the full spectrum of cyber technology and commercial synergy the NCC possesses, and we look forward to leveraging your scientific, technical, and academic expertise across all lines of effort in support of executing our responsibilities within the National Security and National Defense Strategies,” USSPACECOM noted in a statement.

The NCC serves as the executive, operational and administrative function for the Space Information Sharing and Analysis Center (S-ISAC) and is a recognized leader in cybersecurity education, workforce development and informing public policy.
