Mike Elias named CAES space systems SVP, GM
On June 30, Arlington, VA-based CAES announced the appointment of Mike Elias as senior vice president and general manager, Space Systems Division. In this role, Elias will oversee the company’s space product portfolio including radiation hardened microelectronics, applications-specific integrated circuits (ASICs), advanced packaging solutions, motion control and positioning technologies as well as division operations in Colorado Springs, Colorado; Plainview, New York; Hauppauge, New York and Gothenburg, Sweden.

Elias joins CAES as an established leader in both military and space, as well as commercial aerospace product development, strategic planning and customer interface. He spent over 30 years at Honeywell International, where he recently served as VP and general manager for the Space Business Unit and oversaw strategic plans, design and manufacturing of space qualified hardware and software, strategic missiles and launch vehicles. Previously, he was the vice president of space engineering, and held numerous roles across programs, engineering and business operations. Before joining Honeywell, Elias worked on F-15 and F-16 fire control electronics at Delco Systems Operations.
Elias holds both a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degree in computer and electronics engineering from the California State Polytechnic University. In addition, he is Six Sigma Green Belt certified, Black Belt trained.
