Michael Flanagan joins LMI as regional director of new southern Virginia regional office
LMI of Tysons, VA announced on May 17 that it is adding a new regional director to expand its national footprint. Mike Flanagan will serve as the senior leader of LMI’s southern Virginia region. Flanagan joins LMI from CACI, where he served as vice president of its federal training and warfighter readiness division.
“We believe that the capabilities we provide to our current clients can serve other government organizations in greater Virginia, so we are expanding our regional management team to continue to provide exceptional service and grow LMI in accordance with our strategic plan,” Ed Stanton, senior vice president of strategic growth at LMI, said.
Flanagan, a retired United States Army colonel, brings more than 30 years of leadership and strategic experience to LMI. He is also actively engaged in the community, serving in a leadership role in the local chapter of the Association of the United States Army and the West Point Society of Richmond.
“LMI is growing quickly and I am honored to lead the efforts of building up a new regional presence,” Flanagan said. “As the new director, it’s important to me to reflect our company’s culture to our employees in the region and spread our message of improving government to potential customers within DoD and the local communities.”
Flanagan is DoD Level III certified in program management. He has a Master of Science in strategic studies from the U.S. Army War College, a Master of Science in mechanical engineering from North Carolina State University, and a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the United States Military Academy.
