Mercury Systems receives $1.5 million order for high performance ATCA signal processing subsystems for radar application
Mercury Systems, Inc, a Chelmsford, MA-based provider of more affordable secure and sensor processing subsystems powering today’s critical defense and intelligence applications, announced on April 23 that it received a $1.5 million order from a leading defense prime contractor for high performance server-class ATCA signal processing subsystems for a radar application.
The order was booked in the Company’s fiscal 2015 third quarter and is expected to be shipped by its fiscal 2016 first quarter.
“Our customer needed additional capabilities on this mission-critical application,” said Didier Thibaud, President of Mercury’s Commercial Electronics business unit. “We were selected because we were able to provide a rapid prototype solution using commercially-developed open architecture ATCA building blocks designed and manufactured in the USA, an important criterion in defense electronics where the provenance and integrity of the supply chain are paramount. Additionally, the security capabilities built into these solutions helped address our customers’ requirements for trusted computing, essential for securing the mission.”
