MacB awarded USAF data analytics pathfinder contract

MacAulay-Brown, Inc.(MacB) of Dayton, OH announced on August 28 that Enlighten IT Consulting (EITC), a MacB company, has been awarded a Data Analytics Pathfinder prime contract for the U.S. Air Force, in support of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) to assist with development and implementation of analytics on the Big Data Platform (BDP). The one-year contract will be performed at EITC Secure Cloud and Agile Software Development facilities in Linthicum Heights, MD.

The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center is responsible for total life cycle management of Air Force weapon systems. The Air Force is conducting a Data Analytics Pathfinder to refine requirements and use-cases to determine future enterprise analytics capabilities. BDP and data analytics experts from EITC will help align environments including Cyber Situational Awareness Analytical Capabilities (CSAAC), Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS), and the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).

The effort and exploration by EITC personnel will determine the feasibility of a shared, common-user solution that can be accessed by multiple cyberspace weapon systems and communities of interest as they perform separate operational mission objectives.

Part of EITC’s use-case exploration will include operations for the U.S. Department of Defense Information Networks (DoDIN) and Defensive Cyberspace Operations.

“We have a proud history of supporting BDP development and integration pilot initiatives for our valued customers,” said Shawn Justice, senior vice president and general manager of MacB’s EITC subsidiary. “EITC has been exploring this work on behalf of the Air Force for some time, and we look forward to showcasing our data analytics and implementation capabilities on the BDP to help achieve AFLCMC objectives.”
