Leidos awarded mapping contract by National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency
Leidos, a national security, health and engineering solutions company, was awarded a prime contract by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) to provide mapping production services.
The single-award indefinite-delivery requirements contract has a one-year base period of performance, two one-year options and a total contract value of $20 million if the options are exercised. Work will be performed in St. Louis, MO; Chantilly, VA; and Melbourne, FL.
The NGA provides imagery, map-based intelligence and geospatial information in support of national security and supports the National System for Geospatial Intelligence (NSG).
Under the contract, Leidos will provide high quality products, information and services through the use of a quality management system. The team will utilize advanced technology to meet these government driven innovations to support emerging production to provide production process flow efficiencies and improved customer service, conversion of current data and production types to support a format driven rather than a specification driven production environment, production of product derivatives and online/on-demand capabilities service to the previous process or service, if one existed.
The Leidos team will finish products using NGA data to produce digital and plate-ready, standard and non-standard NGA GEOINT products at NGA traditional scale outputs for NAVPLANs (Navigation Planning Charts) and CADRG/ECRG/Geo-Referenced PDFs (Compressed ARC Digitized Raster Graphics/Enhanced Compressed Raster Graphics). In addition, Leidos will provide process improvements through innovative practices and the use of new tools and procedures.
“We look forward to providing global products as scale specific graphic representations of the dynamic NSG Map of the World (MoW), as well as services designed to further automate and streamline NGA’s effort to deliver global products to its customers,” said Leidos Group President Larry Hill.
