Janes, provider of foundational military intelligence, announced on August 25 the appointment of Paul Tierney as president of Janes US. In this role, Tierney will lead the US team, drive operational excellence and execute the company’s ambitious growth strategy across the US defense and intelligence communities and defense industrial base.

Tierney has over 25 years of technology sales experience with a proven track record of scaling high performing teams, delivering strong financial results and fostering customer-centric innovation. Most recently he served as senior vice president, North America Public Sector Sales at Dataminr, responsible for driving growth with public sector and non-profit organizations in the US and Canada. Tierney also served as a Surface Warfare Officer in the US Navy for six years and is a member of the Mid-Atlantic USO Board of Directors.
