On February 1, Leesburg, VA-based Image Matters LLC announces it received an award under the $249M Joint Artificial Intelligence Center (JAIC) Test & Evaluation (T&E) Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA). This contract is crucial to advancing AI solutions across the U.S. Government.

The JAIC T&E BPA centers on satisfying testing and evaluation requirements for AI, automation, and autonomy tools, technologies, and procedures, including Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Neural Networks. The JAIC program addresses: AI T&E solutions, Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) services, alignment/integration with the Joint Common Foundation (JCF), and emergent new technologies.

Image Matters’ Managing Partner, Kurt Buehler, stated, “The Department of Defense and U.S. Government face enormous challenges leveraging existing data holdings more effectively, while also filtering, analyzing, and managing the incoming flood of new data. New advances in AI and data science play a key role in lessening the burden on people by assisting them with the tedious tasks of properly extracting, curating, and sharing information from all sources. This advancement frees people to focus on analysis and reasoning about the information, turning it into useful knowledge.”

Image Matters has built a track record of innovation in object/activity-based intelligence, knowledge graphs, Semantic-AI, and intelligent asset management of vast government data repositories. Its approaches incorporate stakeholder tradecraft into AI models, improve data science techniques, and address explainable and ethical AI, the company said.
