iGov and NIKSUN partner to provide critical technology for DISA JRSS
iGov, headquartered in Reston, VA, together with NIKSUN, announced on March 18 their work to support the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and the Department of Defense (DoD) by providing a turn-key capability to satisfy DISA Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS) requirements for full packet capture (FPCAP), analysis and retention.
iGov received a Delivery Order through its SEWP V (Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement) contract to provide FPCAP products and associated services on December 15, 2015 in support of the DISA Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS) requirement. DISA, partnering with the U.S. Army and Air Force, has fundamentally changed the way the DoD secures and protects its information networks by deploying JRSSs. A JRSS is a suite of equipment that performs firewall functions, intrusion detection and prevention, enterprise management, virtual routing and forwarding (VRF), and provides a host of network security capabilities.
The turn-key features provided by the partnership between iGov and NIKSUN include:
- 100% visibility into the network in real-time
- End-to-end proactive network and application performance monitoring and troubleshooting
- Drill-down forensics analysis
- Integrated performance reports on all traffic
- Unlimited storage that users can extend as their needs grow
- Secure and easy-to-use web interface
- Extensive third party compatibility
iGov’s CEO, Patrick Neven, said, “iGov has a twenty year history of commitment providing cutting edge, advanced and effective service to the DoD and we are honored that DISA has placed their trust in our capability and our company to execute this effort.” iGov’s SVP of Sales, Jack Pooley said, “At iGov, we are confident that our continued investment in our Information Security practice will enable us to deliver additional and more comprehensive solutions to better serve our government customers.”
Dr. Parag Pruthi, CEO and founder of NIKSUN, further emphasized the value of this joint venture, “Through this engineering and go-to-market partnership, together, we are able to help the U.S. Federal Government form the backbone of U.S. cyber protection in the coming years.”
