IC industry partners encouraged to nominate junior professionals for INSA Achievement Awards
Industry partners that support the intelligence and national security communities are encouraged to nominate their up-and-coming junior professionals for the Edwin H. Land Industry Award, presented by the Arlington, VA-based Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA). Nominees would include contractors and nongovernment employees with 8-10 years of nonexecutive experience. Past Land Industry Award recipients include individuals from Northrop Grumman, LMI Consulting and Exelis, Inc.
“Recognition of individuals who have demonstrated great promise is seldom seen across the workforce supporting our intelligence and national security communities. It is imperative we support and encourage individuals earlier in their career if we are to have the best and brightest leading our national security mission in the future. That is why INSA believes the Achievement Awards are so important. We hope our private sector members, and non-members, take advantage of this opportunity to recognize someone of distinction within their junior ranks,” said INSA President Ambassador Joseph DeTrani.
The Land Industry Award is one of six presented annually as part of the INSA Achievement Awards program. Private sector organizations also are encouraged to nominate individuals for the Joan A. Dempsey Mentorship Award. Nominees would come from public, private and academic elements up to and including GS-15/0-6 and equivalent rank.
Both online and printable versions of the nomination form are available at www.insaonline.org/Achievement. Instructions to submit nominees who would require a classified nomination are available by contacting INSA at achievement@insaonline.org. The nomination form takes 10-15 minutes to complete.
Nominations for all awards will be accepted through Friday, October 30, 2015. Recipients will be acknowledged at the 2016 INSA Achievement Awards ceremony, which will be held in February 2016. Director of National Intelligence James Clapper will provide the keynote remarks. More details will be released at a later date.
