IARPA to host PICARD Proposer’s Day

On August 31, the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA) posted an invitation to the Pursuing Intelligent Complex Aerosols for Rapid Detection (PICARD) Proposer’s Day.

The PICARD Proposers’ Day will be held on Monday, September 26, 2022 from 10:30am to 5:00pm EDT. Participants must register by Friday, September 16, 2022 at noon EDT. Same day registrations will not be accepted. The link to register is: https://www.client-meeting.net/picard-proposers-day

The Pursuing Intelligent Complex Aerosols for Rapid Detection (PICARD) Proposers’ Day will introduce potential proposers to the program and provide information and technical requirements as well as program objectives. The IARPA PICARD program intends to develop a fieldable sensing platform for the rapid identification of aerosol particles in plumes.

This platform will address both point detection (in situ) and standoff detection capabilities that focus on the complexity of aerosols with non-uniform sizes, structures, and chemical composition as well as dispersion in challenging environments. The goal of PICARD is to develop novel integrated hardware and software tools that will improve the current state of the art with respect to chemical specificity, accuracy, and sensitivity.

This announcement is issued for information, planning and registration purposes.  The Proposers’ Day announcement does not constitute a formal solicitation for proposals or proposal abstracts.  IARPA will not provide reimbursement for any costs incurred to participate in this Proposers’ Day.
