GDIT awarded $131M USAF BIM task order

On January 6, General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), a business unit of General Dynamics, announced that it was awarded the first task order under the U.S. Air Force’s $8.75 billion Base Infrastructure Modernization (BIM) indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract. The $131 million task order, awarded in July 2025, has a one-year base period and four option years.

The BIM program is a comprehensive initiative to create a unified, high-performing and secure network environment across all Air and Space Force bases worldwide. Under the task order, GDIT will deliver advanced wired and wireless technologies at bases across the Pacific region. These upgrades will enhance connectivity, cybersecurity, interoperability and data readiness for commanders and warfighters.

“Our national security depends on the ability to connect, share information and act without delay,” said Brian Sheridan, GDIT senior vice president for defense. “We look forward to delivering a next-generation network infrastructure to our Pacific forces so they can communicate, operate and respond with speed and precision in the battlefield.”
