On July 14, the Virginia Contracting Activity, on behalf of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) announced that it has a requirement for Tech South Support Services. A request for proposals (RFP) will be released on or about July 29.
The requirement covers three mission areas:
Mission Area One: Effect-Based Technology Development
Mission Area Two: Advanced Capability Development
Mission Area Two: Advanced Capability Development
Each of the three mission areas will include projects of varying nature within the terrestrial, maritime and airborne domains.
- Terrestrial Domain: Technologies may be either manned or unmanned, stationary or mobile, as a standalone system or as a payload integrated into another platform or vehicle.
• Maritime Domain: Technologies may be either manned or unmanned, as a standalone system or as a payload integrated into another platform or vessel, ranging in size from 2 to 120’.
• Airborne Domain: Technologies may be standalone small to medium (10-450lb max take-off weight [MTOW]) size unmanned aerial systems (UAS) or as a payload integrated into another UAS or manned aircraft.
Primary Place of Performance is Cape Canaveral Space Force Base, Florida. This requirement will be 100% set-aside for Small Businesses. It is anticipated that an RFP will be posted on or about July 29, 2025.
