The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has announced two contracts thus far in May awarded by its Strategic Technology Office (STO) under a broad agency announcement it had issued last year.
One award, worth just over $301,000, was given on May 9 to Dzyne Technologies Incorporated, of Reston, VA, to apply “Deep Learning based classification algorithms” to radar automatic target recognition and identify extensions that can be beneficial for targeting, tracking, identification and battle damage assessments in several scenarios of interest.
A second contract award worth just over $394,000, announced on May 6, went to the University of California, San Diego, for an unspecified scope of work.
