CSG names Doreen Harwood as board chair

On March 5, Capital Solutions Group, LLC announced the appointment of Doreen Harwood as chair of its newly established board of directors.

“We are honored to welcome Doreen Harwood as the inaugural chair of our Board of Directors,” said Jeff May, CEO of CSG. “As CSG scales, we want experienced, mission-tested leadership helping us think bigger, move smarter and stay grounded in what our customers truly need. Doreen has operated at the highest levels of national security, where the stakes are real and performance matters. Her perspective will challenge us, strengthen us, and help ensure we grow with discipline and purpose.”

In this new role, Harwood will advise and support CSG’s executive leadership team across strategic growth, operational excellence and customer insights, helping to guide the company through its next phase of expansion and innovation within the national security technology community.

“What drew me to CSG is their authenticity,” said Harwood. “This is a company built by people who understand the mission from the inside — who know that technology only matters if it advances real operational outcomes. At this stage in their growth, thoughtful governance and strategic clarity are essential. I’m excited to help the team sharpen their focus, strengthen customer trust, and scale in a way that preserves the culture and mission-first mindset that defines them.”

Harwood brings more than 35 years of experience in national security and technology leadership to her board role with CSG. She is currently president of DEHarwood LLC Consulting, a firm she founded in 2018. Earlier, Harwood served as senior vice president at Leidos, where she led the Cyber & SIGINT portfolio, engaging federal agencies including the National Security Agency and U.S. Cyber Command.

Prior to her corporate leadership, Harwood served for over three decades at the National Security Agency, concluding her government career as the program executive officer for Collection, High Performance Computing and Research — the agency’s largest PEO portfolio supporting operations, capabilities and research. Harwood’s NSA career included operational support to global counterterrorism missions, strategic acquisition reform roles at the Department of Defense, and leadership assignments advancing cryptologic enterprise expansion.
