CoreStack acquires Karthik Consulting
On November 20, CoreStack announced its acquisition of Karthik Consulting LLC (KC), a Virginia-based technology service provider specializing in cloud and cyber security, DevSecOps, and IT systems integration for the US federal government. The acquisition signifies CoreStack’s expansion into the federal sector, fortifying its position in the rapidly expanding Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) market.
Karthik Consulting, founded in 2008, has been a source of trust and innovation for numerous federal agencies, according to CoreStack. Offering IT and security solutions compliant with strict federal mandates such as FISMA, RMF, and executive orders, KC boasts a dedicated team of 125 professionals. Its security expertise in managing critical federal programs is now a part of CoreStack’s arsenal.
This strategic acquisition aligns with CoreStack’s vision to harness KC’s Software Factory capabilities—a pioneering continuous Authority to Operate (cATO) system supporting secure DevSecOps pipelines. This synergy enhances CoreStack’s ability to deliver secure, AI-driven solutions tailored to the unique needs of federal and enterprise customers.
Ezhilarasan Natarajan, CEO of CoreStack Inc., said, “This acquisition is a strategic alignment of values and expertise that will significantly enhance CoreStack’s leadership in the rapidly growing CNAPP market. By combining Karthik Consulting’s deep-rooted experience in federal IT and security systems with CoreStack’s innovative cloud governance platform, we are advantageously positioned to redefine how federal agencies manage and secure their cloud environments. Together, we will unlock unparalleled value for our customers, including regulated industry commercial segments, ensuring they stay ahead in the rapidly evolving cloud landscape.”
Karthik Balasubramanian, CEO of Karthik Consulting, said, “Joining forces with CoreStack marks a new chapter for Karthik Consulting. Over the years, we’ve built a legacy of trust and innovation in the federal space, and this partnership will amplify our ability to deliver best-in-class and scalable cloud security solutions to the US public sector. CoreStack’s vision and deep understanding of cloud governance resonate deeply with our mission, and I’m excited about the opportunities ahead as we serve our federal customers with even greater impact. Together, we will help them navigate the complex security challenges and meet all required federal mandates.”
