CISA to host discussion of its AI Roadmap
On March 11, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) posted the next installment of the CISA Future Forward Series: Discussion on CISA’s AI Roadmap and AI Security Initiative. CISA’s Office of the Chief Acquisition Executive (OCAE) will host its March industry engagement event on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Eastern.
The event will be a discussion on CISA’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) Roadmap and Security Initiative with AI Security Lead Christine Lai. As the nation’s cyber defense agency and the national coordinator for critical infrastructure security and resilience, CISA must understand the benefits and risks of AI and ensure the nation’s critical infrastructure owners and operators are prepared to both manage the risks while leveraging the benefits. To that end, CISA developed an AI Roadmap, a whole-of-agency plan aligned with national AI strategy, to address efforts to: promote the beneficial uses of AI to enhance cybersecurity capabilities, ensure AI systems are protected from cyber-based threats, and deter the malicious use of AI capabilities to threaten the critical infrastructure Americans rely on every day.
The FY2024 CISA Future Forward Series ignites innovative capabilities through engagement with industry. The series highlights various topics that focus on CISA’s current defined technologies of interest. All events will be virtual, via Microsoft Teams. After registering, attendees can join the webinar on their desktop or mobile device.
