Christopher Buffoni takes SVP, CFO role at Chugach Government Solutions

Chugach Government Solutions, LLC (CGS) announced on February 13 that Christopher Buffoni has joined the company in the role of SVP and chief financial officer (CFO). Buffoni will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team to oversee all CGS financial activities, support execution of the company’s strategic growth plans and drive financial performance, the company said.

Buffoni brings more than 30 years of experience in financial leadership, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, and business transformation within the aerospace, defense, and government contracting sectors. Before joining CGS, he served as CFO of Cherokee Federal, where he played an instrumental role in doubling the company’s size and driving above-market growth and earnings.

His extensive career also includes a tenure with both SAIC and Leidos, where he held several finance leadership roles, including Operations CFO and Business Operations Executive. He has successfully managed large-scale corporate operations, executed key M&A transactions, and led business integration initiatives for billion-dollar enterprises.
