On July 15, the Combined Force Space Component Command (CFSCC) posted a sources sought notice for Intelligence Analysis Services. Responses are due by 10:00 a.m. Pacific on July 21.
The CFSCC executes globally integrated joint / combined space operations as tasked by United States Space Command (USSPACECOM). CFSCC works with various Department of Defense, USG, Intelligence Community, allied, commercial, and coalition organizations to plan, integrate, conduct, and assess global space operations, including assessments of adversary use of space, in order to deliver combat relevant space capabilities to Combatant Commands (CCMDs), allies, coalition partners, the Joint Force, and the nation.
Specifically, the CFSCC Directorate of Intelligence (CJ2) performs intelligence analysis and operations to gain space domain awareness (SDA) as well as providing intelligence support to CFSCC operational planning to enable assured delivery of space capabilities. Analysts perform tasks typically found in a DoD intelligence organization using all-source intelligence to produce fused intelligence products. In addition to analysis and production, analysts employ and apply intelligence capabilities, guided by joint military doctrine and other overarching documents, in supporting all phases of planning and operations for USSPACECOM and other Combatant Commands. The increasing complexity and sophistication of adversary use of space, coupled with an uncertain and rapidly changing threat environment, place significant demands upon the analysis and planning support capabilities of CFSCC/CJ2.
This sources sought notice seeks Space / Counter-space Analysis and Assessment, Joint Intelligence Preparation of the Operational Environment (JIPOE) production, and Joint intelligence planning to support USSPACECOM and CFSCC operations, crisis action, and deliberate planning; global integration with other CCMDs and the broader Intelligence Community.
