Barbara Stevens joins Babel Street advisory board

On February 6, Babel Street announced the appointment of Dr. Barbara Stevens, NACD.DC, to its board of advisors. Dr. Stevens formerly served as the chief of data science at CIA’s Directorate of Digital Innovation, having spent over 35 years of her career as an executive-level leader in the Central Intelligence Agency. Her roles were instrumental in using data analysis and cloud computing to modernize the technology infrastructure within the organization.

While at the agency, she held several key positions in the CIA’s Directorate of Analysis, including a role as a leadership instructor in CIA’s University and in the CIA’s Sherman Kent School for Intelligence Analysis, teaching advanced analytic techniques. She currently serves as a strategic advisor to the Office of Artificial Intelligence at CIA.

Dr. Stevens is an executive leader with a diverse and extensive background in government, academia, and industry. She is currently a NACD Certified Independent Director for Draper Laboratory, Moneycorp US, and a member of the Proxy Board for Hexagon US Federal. Prior to this, she served as the CEO of a technology startup that provided media monitoring and advanced open-source, deep web, and darknet collection solutions to Intelligence and Law Enforcement organizations.
