On August 12, Auria announced the launch of Cyntros, its next-generation Network Detection and Response (NDR) solution. Independent testing by Miercom, a third-party cybersecurity validation lab, confirmed that Cyntros is 97% effective against CISA KEV (Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency, Known Exploited Vulnerability) threats with minimal network resource requirements.
Cyntros combines advanced artificial intelligence and unsupervised machine learning to deliver continuous, adaptive network threat detection and response. The platform autonomously identifies emerging and unknown threats in real time while operating seamlessly across multi-cloud and hybrid environments.
Cyntros detected 95% of network exploits missed by top-tier security vendors in a private security assessment conducted by Miercom. The platform earned the Miercom Certified Secure award for its superior detection accuracy, low false positives, and seamless integration.
“Cyntros’ patented unsupervised machine learning capabilities allowed it to identify unknown threats and adapt to behavioral shifts in real time,” said Rob Smithers, CEO of Miercom. “It operated effectively alongside existing tools, flagged anomalies without false alerts, and proved ideal for scalable, critically important enterprise infrastructures. Cyntros is a very effective NDR to help enterprises protect themselves against the growing number of zero-day attacks.”
Built for modern, high-speed environments, Cyntros combines advanced artificial intelligence with unsupervised machine learning to identify emerging threats in real time across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments. By eliminating reliance on predefined rules and signatures, Cyntros adapts continuously to evolving attack techniques and learns and relearns what is “normal” on the network.
Unlike other NDR tools, Cyntros does not rely on a user-facing dashboard that needs to be updated and configured. Instead, it leverages unsupervised machine learning combined with patented algorithms and approaches to detect unusual behavior on a network to deliver high-fidelity alerts into existing security stacks (SIEM, SOAR, XDR) to enable faster decision-making.
“We are excited to add Cyntros to our suite of cybersecurity products to help security teams who are overwhelmed with toolsets and yet still have blind spots,” said Damian DiPippa, CEO of Auria. “Cyntros brings intelligence to the edge of the network to uncover zero-day attacks in real time by identifying network anomalies. This enables Cyntros to detect what others miss without disrupting data flow or requiring constant tuning.”
