Air Force Research Lab wants technical support for its SIGINT, MASINT and GEOINT efforts

Air Force Research Laboratory The RF Systems Branch of the Air Force Research Laboratory is gathering capabilities information from companies knowledgeable about RF sensors, geo-location algorithms, simultaneous transmit and receive RF concepts and other technologies so they could assist the Lab’s efforts in signals intelligence (SIGINT), measurement and signature intelligence (MASINT), geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) and other technology areas.

“Engineering trade studies may be required that include consideration of structural, aerodynamic, electrical, and physical architectures,” explains a presolicitation notice issued by the Air Force Materiel Command on March 6.

Chosen vendors would be required to have facilities that are certified to handle TS/SCI material.

Interested parties are invited to submit capabilities statements (up to five pages) to the Air Force by March 24. The notice emphasizes that it is conducting market research only, and that any formal solicitation will come in the future in the form of a broad agency announcement.
