AFRL to hold C2ISR Industry Day

On June 15, the Air Force Research Lab issued an invitation to A Seamless Multi-Domain Communications Fabric across the Command and Control, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C2ISR) enterprise – Industry Day. The event will take place on July 2, and the registration deadline is 4:00 p.m. EDT on June 28.

The Air Force Research Laboratory, Computing & Communications Division (AFRL/RIT) will host an Industry Day in support of RFI-AFRL-RIK-18-03, A Seamless Multi-Domain Communications Fabric across the Command and Control, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C2ISR) enterprise and the Connectivity and Dissemination (CAD) Core Technical Competency (CTC) described below.

The purpose of this meeting is to provide information on the Connectivity and Dissemination (CAD) CTC RFI; promote additional discussion on this topic; describe in depth the technical strategy and needs of the CTC; address questions from potential industry partners; and provide a forum for exploring potential industry teaming relationships with CAD government leadership and program managers.

The Industry Day does not constitute a formal solicitation for proposals or proposal abstracts.  Attendance is voluntary and is not required to propose to any potential related Broad Agency Announcements or potential research solicitations on this topic. AFRL/RIT will not provide reimbursement for any costs incurred to participate in this Industry Day.

The Industry Day will be held on July 2, 2018 at The Griffiss Institute, 725 Daedalian Drive, Rome NY from 8:30AM to 4:30PM. Registration will be held from 8:00AM to 8:30AM.

CORE TECHNICAL COMPETENCY DESCRIPTION:

The CAD CTC envisions a seamless multi-domain “network of networks” communications fabric across the C2ISR enterprise.  The goal is not a single network; rather, a “network of networks” paradigm that appears seamless to the user and encompasses various missions, geographic areas, and threat environments.  The CAD CTC is developing technologies to CONNECT (Communication Links & Networks), SECURE (Secure Multi-Domain Architectures), and SHARE (Secure Information as a Service).  Each area will be described in detail including vision and key technical challenges.

Participants must register NLT 4:00 PM June 28, 2018, at the following website:  https://app.smartsheet.com/b/form/9edeb088e4a642b6a01b56a719f6ed09. Participation is limited to two (2) persons per cage code. Maximum participation is 140 people.
