A-T Solutions Inc., a counterterrorism-related contractor, based in Vienna, VA, announced on Nov. 13 that it has been awarded a contract to update the evidence collection management (ECM) software used by the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI).

“A-T Solutions is looking forward to making the ECM modifications necessary for the AFOSI to continue their outstanding investigative work,” said Dennis Kelly, president and CEO of A-T Solutions. “As technology advances, our field reporting experts work to ensure that our customers have access to the most up-to-date product enhancements to support their mission.”

Military criminal investigative organizations have begun taking advantage of the mobility functions tablets offer, including by using them in the field to photograph crime scenes, record data and create reports. In order to fully benefit from these increased efficiencies, modifications are needed to existing ECM software to fully incorporate tablets into the process.

A-T Solutions will provide the modifications, testing and support for ECM capabilities. This will include updating the interface to support current Department of Defense crime scene practices, adding additional reporting functions to support the varied missions of the AFOSI, and modifying export capabilities to conform to DoD-mandated file formats.
