CenturyLink wins DISA network fair opportunity awards
CenturyLink, Inc. of Monroe, LA announced on January 27 that it recently won four fair opportunity award decisions from the U.S. Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) to provide network and data transmission services. The task orders, which run through May 2017, were awarded via the General Services Administration’s Networx Enterprise contract and are valued at up to $10 million.
CenturyLink will provide Ethernet private line and Internet Protocol services to support advanced data services for global Defense Information Systems Network users in the continental United States. The task orders support these network services in four regions: Colorado Springs, Colo.; Arlington-Norfolk, Va.; Huntsville, Ala.; and Omaha, Neb.
The company has a long history of providing the U.S. Department of Defense and DISA with the diverse, reliable and scalable network services that are crucial components of our nation’s defense systems.
By supplying cloud, colocation and managed hosting services over its carrier-class network, CenturyLink provides agencies with the security and reliability they need to carry out their important missions.
“We are proud that the Department of Defense continues to place its trust in CenturyLink to provide core network services that play an important role in helping defend this great nation,” said CenturyLink Senior Vice President and General Manager Tim Meehan, who leads the company’s federal government team.
