Northrop Grumman announces two executive appointments

Northrop Grumman Corporation of Falls Church, VA announced on January 20 that it has appointed Ron Foudray as vice president, business development, for its Information Systems sector and Brett B. Lambert as vice president, corporate strategy.

Leveraging more than 25 years of experience in new business development, market planning, strategic partnerships and business strategy, Foudray will have executive responsibility for leading the sector’s business development efforts to identify, assess, shape and capture new business opportunities across targeted growth areas around the world. He will also focus on ensuring consistent and solid engagement across the sector’s customer and industry partner communities.

“Ron is a proven leader in our industry and brings with him an extensive background in business development and a deep understanding of our customers’ missions around the globe,” said Kathy Warden, corporate vice president and president, Northrop Grumman Information Systems. “His appointment will help to ensure that our company is well-positioned for business growth across all of our focus areas.”

Foudray joined Northrop Grumman in 2004 and most recently served as vice president of business development with the Cyber division. Previously he was director of business development with the former Cyber Intelligence and Defense Systems divisions. Prior to joining the company, Ron held business development leadership positions at IBM Business Consulting Services. He retired from the United States Navy in 2003 and while on active duty was responsible for the acquisition, development, fielding and operation of C4ISR space-based payloads, terrestrial communications and service on various naval platforms.

Foudray earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from Columbus University, New Orleans and attended professional development programs at Johns Hopkins University and Darden Business School. He is a certified master training specialist and ITIL service manager.

As vice president, corporate strategy for the company, Lambert will lead development and implementation of Northrop Grumman’s corporate and business focus area strategies, and will serve as the chair of the strategic development council.

Lambert joins Northrop Grumman after serving as an executive-in-residence with Renaissance Strategic Advisors, a senior associate at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, and a senior fellow at the National Defense Industrial Association.

Previously, he served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Manufacturing and Industrial Base Policy. Lambert was a principal advisor on all matters relating to the defense industrial base, including industrial capabilities, defense industry mergers, acquisitions and consolidation, and preservation of technologies and capabilities. In 2011, he also led President Obama’s effort at the Department of Defense (DOD) to establish the first National Network for Manufacturing Innovation site.

Prior to his work in the DOD, Lambert spent 20 years working with defense and intelligence firms. He served as executive vice president of DFI International and managing director of DFI Investment Partners, a security consultancy firm he helped to build and sell in 2007. He also worked for the U.S. Department of State at the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi.

In 2011 Lambert was awarded the Secretary of Defense Medal for Outstanding Public Service and in 2013 he was awarded the Secretary of Defense Medal for Distinguished Public Service, the highest award from the secretary available to a non-career civilian.
