NTS acquires BOOMSLANG Aerospace

On August 24, NexTech Solutions (NTS) announced the acquisition of BOOMSLANG Aerospace, a developer of advanced unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and Counter-UAS (C-UAS) technology for defense and security applications. The transaction closed on August 7, 2026, and significantly expands the NTS UAS and C-UAS portfolio.

BOOMSLANG’s unmanned aerial systems and C-UAS technology complement the modular C-UAS architecture of systems already delivered by NTS, broadening the options available to customers across detection, defeat, and airborne mission sets. The BOOMSLANG engineering team brings deep domain expertise in advanced UAS design and C-UAS systems, adding to the mission engineering capabilities behind flagship NTS products including MANTLE, VidTerra COMPASS, and JEFF-K.

“BOOMSLANG Aerospace has built exactly the kind of technology our customers are asking for: cutting-edge, mission-ready, and purpose-built for the current threat environment at the edge,” said NTS CEO Joseph Paull. “We are excited to integrate the MONGOOSE C-UAS system and BOOMSLANG UAS family of systems into our networked ecosystem of products.”

The combined team of engineers, technologists, and subject matter experts strengthens NTS’ ability to support the U.S. Department of Defense and other U.S. Government customers with fielded, mission-ready UAS and C-UAS solutions built for the current threat environment, positioning the company to address emerging airspace threats with speed and scale.

“Together, we can move faster from concept to fielded capability for the customers who need it most,” said Alan Cornett, president and co-founder of BOOMSLANG.

“BOOMSLANG’s approach to unmanned aerial systems and their C-UAS technology aligns perfectly with the modular, requirements-driven C-UAS strategy we are building at NTS,” said David Pollman, director of counter-UAS operations at NTS.
