On July 27, the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Cyber Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Center posted a sources sought notice for Production of Palletized FoCUS system. Responses are due by 5:00 p.m. Eastern on August 27.
FoCUS is a multi-sensor, multi-modal Counter-UAS (C-UAS) system that is currently integrated onto the multiple Tactical Ground platforms. US Army DEVCOM C5ISR Center is seeking qualified and capable vendors to rapidly produce FoCUS systems that are integrated onto these platforms. Technical Data / Build of Materials (BOM) exists for the integrations on the platforms and will be provided to vendors in the event of a contract award. Additionally, C5ISR Center is available to provide oversight or input to the assembly process if desired.
The contractor shall:
- Procure/fabricate all hardware specified by the BOM/Technical Data to include the exact make/model of sensing, computing and mast hardware listed in the BOM/Technical Data. All other hardware can utilize suitable commercial equivalents.
- Install and verify software compatibility with the GOVT provided FoCUS software. This will include verifying that individual subsystem software and firmware versions match the current configuration, confirming calibration and performing system function checks.
- Assemble, fabricate and integrate the hardware onto the Tactical Ground platforms in accordance with the provided Technical Data, in quantities specified by the GOVT. This will involve fabrication of mechanical components including, but not limited to cutting, bending, welding, painting, and stenciling, and fabrication of electrical components such as rugged cable assemblies, power distribution boxes, and vehicle harnesses.
- Provide recommendations for system design changes that will enable more rapid production of FoCUS systems.
- Produce systems at a pace of not less than 1 per month.
