On July 15, PsiQuantum announced the appointments of Rob Soderbery as executive vice president and Sriram Sitaraman as chief information officer, adding two veteran technology leaders to the executive team as the company continues scaling its engineering, operational, and commercial capabilities. The appointments come as Victor Peng is named chief executive officer, following his own appointment on an interim basis in February, and reflect the continued buildout of the executive leadership team to guide PsiQuantum through its next phase of growth. Together, Soderbery and Sitaraman bring decades of experience building global technology organizations responsible for some of the world’s most advanced computing infrastructure.
“PsiQuantum is entering an exciting new chapter,” said Peng. “Building the world’s first utility-scale quantum computers is one of the most ambitious engineering challenges ever undertaken, and the opportunities enabled by our silicon photonics platform extend well beyond quantum computing. Realizing that potential requires exceptional leadership, operational excellence, and the ability to build technologies, teams, and infrastructure at global scale. Rob and Sriram are outstanding leaders who will help accelerate our momentum as we build the company and platform that will shape the future of computing.”
As executive vice president, Soderbery will advance PsiQuantum’s state-of-the-art silicon photonics platform, accelerating its application across AI networking and other next-generation computing infrastructure while helping scale the engineering and operational capabilities required to bring the technologies to market.
“PsiQuantum has built one of the most compelling technology platforms I’ve seen in my career,” said Soderbery. “What impressed me just as much was the caliber of the team building it. The company’s silicon photonics platform creates a unique opportunity to deliver utility-scale quantum computing while opening new opportunities across advanced computing infrastructure. Just as exciting is the opportunity to help scale the company itself, bringing together world-class talent to build and deploy technologies that transform entire industries.”
As chief information officer, Sitaraman will lead PsiQuantum’s global information technology strategy, overseeing engineering infrastructure, enterprise systems, IT security, AI enablement, and digital transformation. He will be responsible for building a secure, scalable technology foundation that supports PsiQuantum’s growing global operations and enables the company’s next phase of growth.
“AI is fundamentally changing what’s possible with computing, and quantum computing will extend those capabilities even further,” said Sitaraman. “Together, AI and quantum computing will become complementary technologies that help scientists and engineers solve problems beyond the reach of today’s systems. Building the secure, scalable digital infrastructure that brings those technologies together is an extraordinary opportunity, and I’m excited to help PsiQuantum accelerate the breakthroughs that will define the next generation of pharmaceuticals, materials, energy, manufacturing, and other critical industries.”
