Peraton secures CMMC Final Level 2

On April 28, Peraton announced that it has achieved Final Level 2 certification under the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) program following a successful assessment by a CMMC Certified Third-Party Assessment Organization. This milestone underscores the company’s commitment to cybersecurity excellence for its customers, Peraton said.

The CMMC framework, developed by the Department of War (DoW), establishes rigorous cybersecurity standards for sensitive information across the nation’s defense industrial base. By earning this certification, Peraton demonstrates its ability to protect controlled unclassified information (CUI) and federal contract information with (enhanced or required) security measures.

“Peraton has long demonstrated the advanced technologies, workforce expertise, and proven safeguards to protect our nation’s most sensitive data and information,” said Peraton Chairman and CEO Steve Schorer. “This CMMC achievement reinforces our commitment to the Department of War and solidifies Peraton as a trusted partner in support of national security operations, critical missions, and defense priorities.”

“Achieving Final CMMC Level 2 status reflects the strength of Peraton’s cybersecurity program and the dedication of our team,” said Peraton Chief Information Officer Tom Terjesen. “This milestone validates Peraton’s rigorous security architecture, operational discipline, and commitment to protecting the critical data our customers rely on every day.”
