Emagine IT taps Cedric Sims as CEO

Emagine IT (EIT), a provider of innovative technology solutions, has appointed Cedric Sims as its new chief executive officer, effective July 1.

“Cedric’s leadership marks an exciting new chapter for EIT. His strategic vision and proven track record will strengthen our position in the govtech space while driving innovation, efficiency, and impact for our customers,” said Aamir Saleem, founder and outgoing CEO, EIT. “I have full confidence that under his guidance, EIT will continue to thrive and deliver the technical excellence that has been our hallmark for more than 20 years.”

Sims brings 25+ years of experience leading complex system transformations in both public and private sectors. As senior vice president of enterprise innovation and integration at MITRE, he drove advancements in cybersecurity, AI-driven policymaking, and enterprise integration, overseeing MITRE’s Corporate Strategy Office, Center for Strategic Competition, Center for Data Driven Policy, and Enterprise Computing & Information Services. His leadership strengthened MITRE’s mission to deliver data-driven, objective recommendations that enhance federal agency security, efficiency, and mission success.

“It is an honor to lead EIT and continue delivering what we’re most passionate about: technical excellence for our customers across both public and private sectors,” said Sims. “EIT serves as a nexus for digital transformation— connecting proven, industry-leading capabilities with the urgent needs of federal agencies. Through plug-and-play innovations and scalable solutions, we accelerate adoption, amplify impact, and enable government leaders to extend limited resources in service of mission-critical outcomes. For more than 20 years, EIT has built a culture of collaboration and customer-focused solutions, and I’m excited to shape the future of this great company alongside our talented teams and trusted partners.”
