On April 18, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) issued a request for information (RFI) for GEOINT Learning Through Academic Programs II (GLAP II). Responses are due by 12:00 p.m. Eastern on May 2.
NGA, in support of the National Geospatial-Intelligence College (NGC) Curriculum Foundations Branch (HDNTB), is seeking information on how an interested contractor could enable the government to leverage coursework offered by regionally accredited academic institutions to provide condensed advanced undergraduate- and graduate-level courses through a relationship with universities that are either USGIF-accredited or have demonstrated expertise in teaching courses in NGA’s desired subject areas of Geomatics or Geospatial Information Analysis.
NGA has a mission-critical need for unclassified learning opportunities that are innovative, flexible, and tailored to the needs of the GEOINT professionals. The subject areas are to be focused on enabling increased analytic proficiency in the pursuit of GEOINT.
This RFI is open to regionally accredited colleges and universities who have programs accredited by the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) under their collegiate Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) Program accreditation process or have demonstrated expertise in teaching courses in NGA’s desired subject areas of Geomatics or Geospatial Information Analysis. The colleges and universities must deliver training virtually, in person, or asynchronous on-line in geographic areas located at NGA campuses in Springfield, Virginia or St. Louis, Missouri or other locations as identified by NGA.
NGC is interested in identifying multiple institutions to provide condensed intermediate and advanced training utilizing GEOINT-related examples, datasets, principles, and constructs to the maximum extent possible.
