Leidos appoints Megan Block national security capture lead

On January 7, Leidos announced that it has appointed Megan Block as vice president and national security capture excellence lead. Block will oversee win planning and proposal development for top captures with defense, intelligence, and homeland security customers.

“Megan brings nearly two decades of industry experience growing, developing, and leading high-performing growth teams,” said Jason Albanese, Leidos National Security Sector senior vice president for growth. “I am confident Megan will draw on her extensive capture and leadership experience in the areas of mission software and cybersecurity to help Leidos deliver differentiated solutions for its national security customers.”

In this role, Work will oversee some of Leidos’ most important national security captures. This will include developing Leidos’ value propositions and differentiated win strategies, while supporting captures and proposal responses across the company’s most critical bids. She will also help manage National Security Sector Growth Office resources by collaborating with Leidos’ technical leaders, functional leads, and program managers to build strong capture teams.

Block joins Leidos following more than 15 years in business development, capture, and proposal roles across both large and small businesses. Prior to joining Leidos, she served five years at Accenture Federal Services, where she most recently led sales for the company’s defense and intelligence portfolio. In that role, Block led a team of business development professionals to identify, qualify, and win top pursuits. As a capture manager, Block has overseen a pipeline of qualified deals ranging from $50 million to several billions of dollars.
