IC contractor, Serco, names Al Pisani as senior vice president of corporate development
Serco Inc., which provides high-level support services to the Intelligence Community, announced on March 5 the appointment of Al Pisani as senior vice president for corporate development. Pisani will report to chairman and CEO, Dan Allen.
Pisani will oversee corporate development, strategy planning, mergers and acquisitions, program management center of excellence and customer satisfaction activities. He will serve on the executive leadership team focusing on growth in Serco’s strategic markets and expanding its capabilities.
“Al joins us at a critical time in our industry,” said Allen. “We look forward to having his extensive knowledge and expertise as we strengthen Serco’s position in the marketplace.”
Pisani brings more than 30 years of government contracting experience, and joins Serco after nearly five years as a senior vice president at TASC, where he oversaw that company’s intelligence group.
Earlier, he served in numerous leadership positions as corporate officer at Northrop Grumman, heading up business development in the civilian sector and also working in Northrop Grumman’s homeland security program management office. In these capacities, Pisani was responsible for developing market strategies for the $4 billion in revenue business. He also executed marketing plans for growing the company’s civil federal agencies and state and local government businesses.
Most recently, Pisani led efforts focused on delivering specialized mission engineering, integration and tactical operations expertise to core Intelligence Community members, specifically the National Security Agency, Central Intelligence Agency and the Defense Intelligence Agency, among others.
“This is an exciting time to be joining Serco,” said Pisani. “Dan has brought some exciting ideas to the company in his first few months as CEO. I look forward to working with him and the entire Serco team in building the next chapter of the company’s growth.”
