Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division awards Leidos prime contract

Leidos of Reston, VA announced on April 20 that it was awarded a prime contract by the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) to provide technology support to Combat Environment Instrumentation Systems (CEIS). The multiple-award cost-plus fixed-fee indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a 5-year ordering period and a total contract value of approximately $197 million for all awardees. Work will be performed primarily in China Lake, CA and Point Mugu, CA. Leidos is one of six contractors eligible to compete for task orders under the contract.

CEIS include GPS-based time-space position information instrumentation, electronic attack and active emitter pods, warning and countermeasure systems, radio frequency and electro-optical tracking systems, multi-spectral threat and target systems, and unmanned airborne vehicle instrumentation used by the Department of Defense and allied training, test and evaluation ranges. Under the contract, Leidos will provide research, development, delivery, sustainment, and upgrade of instrumentation for the CEIS. Leidos will also provide both product and engineering services to support various hardware and software systems.

“Leidos has demonstrated a depth of technical expertise to support the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division in its continued effort to improve Combat Environment Instrumentation Systems,” said Leidos President of Defense & Intelligence Tim Reardon. “We look forward to providing our innovative technical abilities to support both the NAWCWD, and ultimately, the warfighter.”
