DIA announces industry outreach day
On February 14, the Virginia Contracting Activity, on behalf of the Defense Intelligence Agency, announced the Defense Intelligence Agency’s plans to hold the Director’s 2nd Industry Outreach Day on April 12-13, 2017.
The Defense Intelligence Agency’s (DIA) Innovation Office (INO) is pleased to announce the Director’s 2nd Quarterly Industry Outreach Day will be held on April 12-13, 2017 in the agency’s Innovation Hub (iHUB).
The object of the Industry Day is to find new capabilities and business processes in a collaborative environment that will advance our decision making and serve to enhance our mission.
INO utilizes NeedipeDIA as the mechanism to communicate the mission needs to innovators leveraging an existing Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) that streamlines the acquisition process.
The Industry outreach event held on December 15th focused on one area — all-inclusive interactive geospatial display software that would allow users to manipulate their personal screen display.
The two day April Outreach event will have a mission-wide focus on needs from across the enterprise that span a wide range of categories to include machine translation, document sorting and tagging, secure communications and remote sensing, and artificial intelligence.
TO PARTICIPATE: vendors and academia can submit white papers in accordance with the NeedipeDIA submission criteria NEED 99 – Other Innovative Capabilities Not Listed Above; beginning March 6, 2017. NeedipeDIA NEED 99 can be found on the DIA web portal; http://www.dia.mil/Business/Needipedia.aspx
