Vorbeck Materials Corp., a leader in the field of graphene, has entered into a strategic investment and technology development agreement with In-Q-Tel, Inc. (IQT), the independent strategic investment firm that identifies innovative technology solutions to support the missions of the U.S. Intelligence Community.

“We are excited to be working with In-Q-Tel to accelerate the development of next-generation conductive graphene compounds”

As part of the agreement, Vorbeck will use its award-winning graphene technology to develop conductive compounds that will not only benefit IQT’s customers, but will also have broad applications in the commercial electronics industry. IQT funds transformational technologies that have the potential to produce break-through developments with large commercial impact.

“Vorbeck’s ability to make and bring to market innovative products with graphene opens the door to many potential applications,” said Megan Anderson, vice president in charge of IQT’s field deployable technologies practice. “We look forward to helping advance Vorbeck’s technology and seeing the impact that it can have for our government customers and the broader market.”

Vorbeck has a proven track-record of developing commercial products using the unique electrical and thermal properties of graphene, including the world’s first graphene-based product on the market, Vor-ink, a conductive ink for printed electronics applications.

“We are excited to be working with In-Q-Tel to accelerate the development of next-generation conductive graphene compounds,” stated John Lettow, president of Vorbeck Materials. “This collaboration will speed the adoption of graphene-based technologies, leading to robust and versatile consumer electronics products.”
