ViON names Ed Stockton vice president of services

ViON Corporation, based in Herndon, VA, announced on February 8 the appointment of Ed Stockton as the new vice president of services. Stockton brings over 17 years of experience leading IT services teams, supporting large-scale projects for commercial and federal government customers.

“Our portfolio of services is and always has been a key asset to our customers as they seek the best path to modernization,” said Tom Frana, chairman and CEO of ViON. “Ed’s industry experience and understanding of the demands our customers face in the field will allow us to strengthen our customer intimacy model and facilitate a more seamless transition to new data center technologies for all our customers at a time when they need it most.”

As vice president of services, Stockton will help drive sales and manage delivery of ViON services, which includes: field engineering, onsite break/fix support, spares support, engineering changes, preventative and concurrent maintenance and access to ViON’s 24/7/365 secure support center. Prior to becoming vice president of services, Stockton served as ViON’s business development director for federal civilian agencies. He built long-term relationships with partners and customers and leveraged ViON’s cloud, big data and security solutions. Before joining ViON, he spent more than five years at CA Technologies as director of services delivery, where he was responsible for directing 22 projects valued at $15 million annually.

“I appreciate the level of commitment and pride ViON takes in helping its customers solve not just technology challenges, but the struggles of migration and daily management that can hinder any operation,” said Stockton. “I look forward to developing relationships with agencies and partners to bring the next generation data center within reach for all our customers.”
