USMC posts C4I-related RFP

On May 30, the United States Marine Corps posted a request for proposal for Tactical Systems Support – Professional Engineering Services (Solicitation Number: M68909_17_R_7602). Responses are due on June 19 at 2:00pm Pacific Time.

The Contracts Office, Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA) is formally soliciting the following pending requirement.  This procurement is issued in accordance with the formats under FAR Part 12 – “Acquisition of Commercial Items,” and FAR Part 15 – “Contracting by Negotiation” as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.

This solicitation notice is for a commercial services requirement.  The solicitation notice is for non-personal services that will provide Global 24/7/365 technical support to the Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA) for fielded Command, Control, Computer, Communications, and Intelligence Systems (C4I) and Tactical Networks concerning the United States Marine Corps (USMC) Operating Forces.  Specific tasks outlined in the Performance Work Statement are related to on-site/on-call help desk support primarily located at the MCTSSA Operating Forces Tactical Systems Support Center (OFTSSC), Camp Pendleton, CA, with additional and sizable on-site/on-call technical representation at specified USMC Command organizations worldwide, including military exercise technical support based upon the operational schedule of the supported USMC units, and embedded technical support of various Operating Forces contingency operations (e.g., hazardous duty, combat operations, peace-keeping, humanitarian relief, etc.) on a discrete basis.
