US Navy issues solicitation for advanced sensors and sensor system prototypes

??????????????????On December 23, the US Navy posted the following solicitation (number N00164-15-R-JT82):

Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division has a requirement for prototypes of advanced sensors and sensor systems in support of Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance and Force Protection missions.

The Government plans to award multiple competitive IDIQ contracts with a one-year base period and four one-year options. A best value source selection process as defined in Sections L & M of the DRAFT solicitation will be utilized. Requirements will be competed at the delivery order level amongst the IDIQ awardees in accordance with FAR 16.505. The total dollar value of all orders will not exceed $49M over a five-year period. The requirement is a 100% small business set-aside. It is anticipated that the multiple award IDIQ contracts will be awarded in September 2015.

The technical data package contains information that is export controlled. Only those companies that have completed DD Form 2345 and are certified under the Joint Certification Program (JCP) in an active status are authorized to receive export controlled information.
