SPAWAR issues RFI for Commercial Broadband Satellite Programs (CBSP) Small Ship Variant terminal

SPAWAR 112On May 21, the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) posted the following request for information (RFI) (solicitation number SPAWAR_Headquarters_MKTSVY_104606):

The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), on behalf of the Program Executive Office (PEO)
Command, Control, Communications, Computers & Intelligence (C4I), Communications Program Office
(PMW/A 170) is seeking potential sources to provide systems engineering, production, manufacturing, integration,  testing and maintenance of the Commercial Broadband Satellite Programs (CBSP) Small Ship Variant terminal.

The Navy is interested in solutions that will improve bandwidth utilization and provide potential lease savings to the
Government for commercial satellite communications on the Patrol Coastal (PC) and Mine Countermeasure (MCM)
ship classes.
