Serco chairman and CEO Dan Allen announces plan to retire

Serco Inc. of Reston, VA announced on February 22 that Dan Allen, chairman and CEO of Serco Inc. informed the Serco Group plc board of directors of his plans to retire by midyear 2017.  A search to include both internal and external candidates will commence immediately for his replacement.

“Dan Allen has worked tirelessly on behalf of Serco during a critical transition period of the Company,” said Rupert Soames, Serco Group chief executive officer.  “Throughout his tenure, Dan has focused on developing talent and today we have a highly engaged, high performance leadership team in North America. On behalf of the entire Serco team, we thank Dan for his leadership and dedication and wish him all the best as he enters this new phase in his life.”

“Working with such a dedicated management team and workforce has been an honor and a great experience for me both professionally and personally. Because of that, this decision was not easy for me to make,” Allen said. “I want to express my gratitude and thanks to everyone at Serco for making my experience one that I will always cherish.  I truly believe the Serco organization has great years ahead.”
