Belcan, LLC announced on September 6 that Scott Briggs has joined as senior vice president of the government strategic business unit for its Belcan Government Services (BGS) Segment. In his new role, Briggs will be responsible for overseeing BGS’ scientific, engineering, and technical teams to deliver the highest standard of services to Belcan’s customers. Having served more than 30 years in the Navy and the Navy Reserve, Briggs has first-hand experience and a deep understanding of our country’s national security mission.

Briggs has more than 20 years of experience in the engineering and technology industry. He was most recently the director of business development at ViON. Prior to joining Belcan, Briggs pursued parallel careers in both the private sector and the United States Navy Reserve (USNR). His USN active duty was as ship’s company on two surface combatants followed by instructor duty. During his USNR service, he rose to the position of master chief petty officer. As such, he served as the senior enlisted leader across several intelligence commands and a faculty member of the US Naval War College, Senior Enlisted Academy.
