Nunes comments on intelligence collection allegations

Rep. Devin Nunes 112House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes issued the following statement on December 30 in response to a recent Wall Street Journal report on intelligence collection:

“The House Intelligence Committee is looking into allegations in the Wall Street Journal regarding possible Intelligence Community (IC) collection of communications between Israeli government officials and Members of Congress.  The Committee has requested additional information from the IC to determine which, if any, of these allegations are true, and whether the IC followed all applicable laws, rules, and procedures.”

    Chairman Nunes,
I believe that a Special Counsel should be named to investigate these very serious allegations of possible Executive Branch overreach and usurpation of power of the Legislative Branch. If the President is tasking our IC to spy on Congress this is an impeachable offense; Nixon was forced to resign over something much less serious!
Unfortunately, this fits a pattern of corruption with this Administration.
